Hyderabad: Infotech Enterprises, an engineering solutions company, has inked a MoU with Sri Vishnu Educational Society, Hyderabad (SVES) for industry-academia initiative. Under this MoU Infotech will provide industrial exposure to students of SVES through internships, industrial visits and live projects. Infotech will nominate domain experts as visiting faculty and organize special technical lectures at SVES campuses. Infotech will also organize orientation sessions for the faculty members so they are in sync with industry requirements. In addition, Infotech will also help design the curriculum for diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
Sri Vishnu Educational Society (SVES) established in 1992 by Late Padmabhushan Dr. BV Raju provides education in Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Dental Sciences, Computer Education and Management Studies. The three campuses that provide courses in Engineering are: 1- Padmasri Dr. BV Raju Institute of Technology (Narsapur, Greater Hyderabad), 2- Shri Vishnu College of Engineering for Women, Vishnu Institute of Technology (Bhimavaram) and 3- BVRIT Hyderabad College of Engineering for Women (Bachupally, Hyderabad). SVES is the only institution to receive the National Quality Trophy in Education from Indian Merchants of Commerce, AP (IMC) and the only Indian institution to receive Best in Class, Global Performance Excellency Award in Education from Asia Pacific Quality Organization (APQO).
The MoU provides for joint participation between Infotech and SVES on development projects. SVES will design certificate programs and further train Infotech’s engineers on key skills. The academic experts from the institute will also deliver guest lectures for the benefit of Infotech employees. This partnership also strengthens Infotech’s endeavor to create diversity as SVES also has dedicated engineering colleges for women students.
Infotech’s industry-academia initiative is a bilateral association with academic institutions to improve the quality of technical education and create a talent pool that is employable. To promote partnership with academia, Infotech has entered into MoUs with IIT Hyderabad, JNTU Kakinada, JNTU Hyderabad, CBIT Hyderabad, SNIST Hyderabad, CIPET Hyderabad, MLRIT Hyderabad, IARE Hyderabad and UPES Dehradun.
