Mayo Ladies Association donates 900kgs of rice to Devnar School for the Blind

Mayo Ladies Association (MALA), The Ladies Wing of Mayo Lodge No. 19, the primary unit of Freemasons donates 900kgs of rice to Devnar School for the Blind today. MALA president Ms. Sunitha Vidyakar accompanied by members Mrs. Lalitha Sampath, Advocate G. Vidyakar Rao, Vijay Kumar and others handed over the same to Padmashri Dr. A. Saibaba Goud, a leading Ophthalmologist who founded the School.

Speaking on the occasion Mrs. Sunitha Vidyakar, Chairperson of MALA said, the 9 bags of rice was procured valuing Rs 30,000/ was generated out of Coockery Competition MALA conducts every year.

It is the members of Freemasonry and their families, friends who turn out in huge numbers each make MALA Cookery Competition indirectly contributed for this charity program, she informed.

Adding further she stated that Devnar School for the Blind is doing a great job, Devnar’ is a combination of two words DEV (God) and NAR (Man), highlighting the fact that there is God in every man. If the entire humanity is the family of God, the visually challenged children are special members in it, She lauded the efforts of Devnar Foundation for the cause of blind.
