Muljibhai Mehta International School, Virar is hosting a grand event, The CBSE NATIONAL ROLLER SKATING CHAMPIONSHIP 2013-14, from 6th December to 9th December 2013. Over 500 top skaters from all over India are participating in this event. This is for the first time that Maharashtra has the honor of hosting such a mega event organized by Muljibhai Mehta International School (MMIS). CBSE schools from across the world will participate in this competition.
The CBSE National Roller Skating Competition will be held on India’s first and only synthetic coated 200-meter bank track and 425-meter circuit road built according to the latest international design at Ameya Classic Sports Club’s International Standard Roller Sports Center in Virar. Scholastic activities in the school develop the brain and mind of students. Co-scholastic activities help students to develop a healthy body in addition to healthy mind. It helps to inculcate discipline, competitive spirit, self confidence and the will to win.
The championship will be held in two categories – quad and inline. More than 80 races will be held in the form of Time trial race, Rink race and Road race. The races will be held separately for boys and girls of different age groups. The event would commence with the flag-off ceremony at 9.00 AM on 6th December 2013 at Ameya International Roller Skating Track, Yashwant Nagar, Virar.
The other events will be held on 7th December and the Heats and Finals will be held on 9th December 2013 followed by prize distribution at 1:00 PM.
